The history of pipes made in Japan at the Tsuge workshop:

Behind the Tsuge brand is the story of a Japanese family, whose pipe making know-how has been handed down from father to son. Kyoichiro Tsuge launched the brand in 1936 in the historical neighbordhood of Asakusa, in Tokyo. Over the years, the quality of Tsuge pipes never stopped improving, thanks to the family's meticulous work. Nowadays, their pipes are renowned around the globe, thanks to the family's impressing know-how. Some of their pipes are on the classic side, but most of them have very original shapes, such as "poker" (flat-bottomed bowl) or "blowfish" ones. One of their most outstanding pieces is certainly the "Thunderstorm", that comes with a metal cladding, allowing its owner to smoke outside even on a windy day!
