How to care for a pipe with a metal filter?

As with any pipe, use appropriate pipe cleaners to remove tar residues from the stem and shank. On our site, you will find standard or long pipe cleaners (depending on the pipe's length), soft or abrasive (the latter being stiffer and scrubbing), thick or thin (depending on the stem drilling). For the metal filter itself, follow these steps:

1. Ensure your pipe is completely cool (never remove the stem while smoking or immediately afterward, as this may damage it).
2. Gently remove the stem.
3. Remove the filter, clean it with water and soap, let it dry, and then replace it. Tip: clean the metal filter regularly to prevent clogging and off-flavors.

How to install the metal filter in the pipe?

All pipes in this category come with a metal filter already installed. However, it is important to know how to remove and replace it after cleaning.

Standard metal filters are adjustable. To ensure a perfect fit in the stem's tenon, gently spread the two tabs if necessary. If you lose a filter or wish to replace it, we offer standard metal filters in packs of 6: metal pipe filters.

Additional information:

• Metal filters fit pipes drilled at 3 or 4mm; they are not suitable for 6 or 9mm pipes.
• A pipe with a metal filter can also be smoked without it, simply remove it.
