The Sherlock Holmes line was introduced in 1987, as a way to honor the story's main characters. The original collection is made up of seven pipes that all have unique shapes, commemorating some of the legendary characters and places from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's work (Baker Street, Baskerville, Deerstalker, Original, Professor, Squire, Watson). The "Return of Sherlock Holmes" line was launched after the original one's success and comprises seven other shapes (Mycroft, Hudson, Strand, Rathbone, Lestrade, Hansom and Milverton).

Each pipe is hand-stamped with the name of the collection's subcategory. The shank is reinforced with a silver band (on which you will find the Sherlock Holmes stamp) and the stem is a patented P-Lip one, that directs the smoke towards the palate.
