Savinelli pipes

Savinelli: a leading Italian pipe brand

Savinelli has been a major name in Italian pipe making since 1876. The expertise of the Savinelli family has been passed down from one generation to the next. Today, Savinelli pipes are known and appreciated by pipe smokers around the world.

The brand is renowned worldwide for the quality of its Italian briar and its famous balsa filter system. Savinelli offers pipes designed for either 6 or 9mm filters, depending on the model and collection.

Savinelli pipes made in Italy:

Savinelli takes great pride in making its pipes in Italy and using Italian briar from Sicily and Calabria.

Over the years, Savinelli has continued to expand its catalogue with new shapes and finishes. Some models are classics, while others are much more original and unique creations.

Will you find the right pipe for you among the Savinelli range? Absolutely. There is bound to be a Savinelli pipe to suit your tastes!

The famous balsa filter used in Savinelli pipes:

Depending on the model, Savinelli pipes are fitted with a balsa wood filter. This system is available in two diameters: 6 and 9mm. What is balsa? It is a particularly soft and porous wood. In practical terms, the filter helps absorb condensation and impurities while you smoke, without affecting the flavour of the tobacco.

Savinelli balsa filters are available in different pack sizes in our online shop. If you smoke regularly, it is therefore a good idea to buy a box of 50 or even 100 filters to go with your pipe.

A wide choice of Savinelli collections:

The Savinelli range is extremely diverse. You'll find traditional models as well as high-end, entirely handmade pipes.

At pipe.fr, we offer all the key Savinelli collections. These include the Miele series (pipes with a delicious honey scent), Trevi (pipes featuring an aluminium ring), Monsieur (pipes with a bowl lid) and Riccio (pipes made from natural rusticated briar).

If you enjoy Churchwarden pipes, meaning large models with long stems, the Churchwarden collection should appeal to you. On the other hand, if you prefer a small pocket pipe, the Mini models are a better choice. These short pipes are practical and easy to take with you wherever you go.

Savinelli Autograph pipes:

In this high-end collection, each model is designed and shaped according to the grain of the briar. This allows the artisans to unleash their creativity and produce particularly original silhouettes.

These prestigious, entirely handmade pipes stand out for their beautiful flame grain (known as "Straight Grain"). They are graded according to the quality of the briar used, with grades 000, 00, 0, 8, 6 and 4, with triple zero being the highest grade. These "Made in Italy" pieces are clearly aimed at collectors looking for a rare gem!

Why choose a Savinelli pipe?

Choosing a Savinelli means choosing:

• a pipe made in Italy
• a pipe crafted in a renowned workshop
• a pipe made according to the rules of traditional craftsmanship

Not all pipes are alike, and that's precisely what makes Savinelli so interesting. The brand offers models at different price points: from less than 100 euros for the most affordable models to several thousand euros for exceptional pieces.
