Colored pipes

Colourful pipes that stand out from the crowd:

When we think of a briar pipe, we often picture a classic brown or natural colour. Yet there are many other models featuring bold colours! These pipes break away from the old-fashioned image we often have in mind. They have nothing to do with grandad's pipe! Red, green, blue, black, orange or even multicoloured: there are plenty of finishes to choose from. Some pipes feature a single colour, while others combine several shades.

Why choose a colourful pipe?

Colourful pipes don't go unnoticed, and that's precisely why they are so appealing! They bring a real touch of originality to a collection and allow you to stand out from more traditional models.

At La Pipe Rit, we like to say that these pipes are the perfect mix of tradition (briar) and fantasy (colour). A colourful pipe ultimately combines elegance with traditional craftsmanship!

A wide range of colours and finishes:

Not all colourful pipes look alike. You'll find black, red, green or blue lacquered pipes, as well as models featuring several colours. The finish is generally glossy or matte. However, there are also more discreet models. These "transparent" finishes are particularly popular with smokers because they allow the grain of the briar to remain visible.

Choosing a colourful pipe depends above all on your personal taste. If you want something understated, for example, a black pipe could be just what you're looking for. On the other hand, if you are happy to embrace bright colours, a red or orange pipe might suit you better!

Can you smoke a colourful pipe every day?

The answer is yes! Colourful pipes are not just beautiful collector's items. You can of course smoke them whenever you like. On these models, the finishes are specially designed to withstand the heat produced during smoking. As with any other briar pipe, you simply need to follow the basic rules:

• Resting: You should let your pipe rest for at least 24 hours before using it again. This is essential to keep it in good condition.
• Cleaning: After each smoking session, once the pipe has cooled down, it is important to clean the inside of the stem and shank with suitable pipe cleaners.

How do you care for a colourful pipe?

Caring for a colourful pipe is very simple. On the inside, there is no difference compared with a traditional briar pipe. If you need advice on how to care for your pipes, we've published several articles on our blog explaining what to do:

• Caring for your pipe every day
• How to clean your pipe

However, you should take a few precautions to avoid damaging the exterior finish. In particular, avoid abrasive or corrosive products, which could scratch or damage the colour. A simple soft cloth is all you need to clean the surface.
