Pipe cleaners are an essential accessory for a clean pipe. They are specifically made to get rid of build-ups of tar, nicotine and moisture in the stem (and shank) of your pipes.
These Vauen pipe cleaners are especially made to clean your long pipes. Thanks to their conical shape (thinner on one side than on the other), they will be very efficient to clean your long (churchwarden) pipes. Moreover, the cotton will absorb all impurities so that your pipe will be clean and ready to be used again!
Firstly, it is important to remember to clean your pipe after every use. It is a mandatory step, without which you will not be able to fully savor the tobacco's aroma. If you do not do it, you might clog your pipe and will therefore not be able to smoke it. However, if you clean it regularly, you will be able to enjoy it for a long time!
Before anything, make sure your pipe has cooled down completely before disassembling it. To take off the stem, turn it on itself (as if it was screwed on) while pulling gently. Once disassembled, take out the filter (if your pipe has one) and take a pipe cleaner. Run the pipe cleaner through the stem. By doing so, the impurities will be absorbed by the pipe cleaner. Of course, if the pipe cleaner is very dirty once you pull it out, do not hesitate to repeat these steps with a clean one!
A pack contains 50 pipe cleaners that are about 30cm long. They will be perfect for short pipes with a long stem. For the other pipes (short and medium-sized), you'll need standard pipe cleaners.
