Also known as the "hunting pipe", "shepherd's pipe" or "Gesteckpfeife" (in German), this Vauen Enzian 2024 follows on from the success of the first Enzian pipe to leave the Vauen workshops in 2016. As before, it is distinguished by its atypical shape: a beechwood extension (located between the stem and the bowl) that produces a smoother smoke in the mouth, and a briar bowl that is very comfortable to hold. For this contemporary creation, the bowl is not made of porcelain (as was traditionally the case in the past) but of high-quality wood (briar).
In terms of maintenance, the Vauen Enzian is very easy to clean, as it can be dismantled into 4 parts (bowl, stem, extension and mouthpiece). This is typically the kind of pipe that's a pleasure to smoke at home.
