To make Alex pipes, craftspeople had to be very creative. By looking closer at the design of these pipes, we can see that the briar's shank is covered with acrylic of a black color. It therefore looks like the shank and the stem are one. The upper and lower parts of the bowl are separated by a thin line engraved in the briar. Depending on the models, the color of this line changes, and can be black or red. This allows a striking contrast and strengthens the futurist design of these pipes.
Like all Vauen pipes, this one can be smoked with a 9mm filter. Moreover, like all the original collections of the brand, Vauen Alex pipes are presented in their beautiful box.
Located in Nuremberg, Vauen is Germany's oldest pipe manufacturer. The firm celebrated its 175th anniversary in 2023! Nowadays, it is world-renowned thanks to the quality of its pipes and for the famous Dr Perl Junior filters with active charcoal, very efficient to filter tobacco's harmful substances.
