Hungarian/Oom Paul

The Hungarian shaped pipe is one of the most bent pipe that has ever been created. It is the favorite silhouette for smokers  who like to comfortably keep their pipe at the corner of their mouth, while having their hands free to do something else. The Hungarian pipe is thus comfortable in mouth because it can easily be held for a long period of time without being too heavy on the jaws. Its name comes from the old Hungarian manufacturings. The story tells that it has also been called "Oom Paul" in reference to the uncle Paul (Kruger), president of the South-African Republic at the end of the 19th century, who often had this pipe in his mouth. The Hungarian or Oom Paul pipe has most of the time a big tobacco chamber, allowing it to put even more tobacco. Peterson, Caminetto, Dunhill and Brebbia are all brands that proposed this kind of pipe in the past.
