How are Butz-Choquin Chromatic pipes made?
At the beginning, the finish that you can see on these pipes was the result of a mix of different lacquers. Nowadays, most of the new models (also called "New Chromatic") are made with a more modern technique: hydro dipping. No matter the technique used, Butz-Choquin pipes of these collections (Chromatic and New Chromatic) have beautiful colors that propose something different from what we are used to see.
The two men behind the Butz-Choquin pipe brand:
The company Butz-Choquin, established by Jean-Baptiste Choquin and Gustave Butz, is located in Saint-Claude since 1858. For ten years, the production of Butz-Choquin pipes never stopped increasing. Nowadays, less pipes are made each year, but La Pipe Rit is proud to propose Butz-Choquin's most beautiful models.
