The Japanese pipe manufacturer Tsuge has been a benchmark brand in the world of pipe smoking for over 100 years.
Our team of La Pipe Rit is proud to present you models of Tsuge's "The Four Seasons" pipe collection. Available in limited quantities, this special pipe series (also called "Shiki" in Japanese) proposes four different models. The design of each pipe therefore honours a season: spring, summer, fall and winter.
Did you know that the name of the brand Tsuge comes from the name of its founder, M. Kyoichiro Tsuge? This name also pays tribute to the Land of the Rising Sun because Tsuge is a village located in Nara Prefecture in Japan.

The design of this pipe is absolutely unique! The decoration on the bowl of this pipe has indeed been made according to an ancestral technique using the famous Japanese "Urushi" lacquer. The result is stunning, and the pipe becomes a work of art!
To represent winter, craftspeople painted beautiful flowers (and more specifically camellias, also called Tsubaki in Japanese) on the bowl. In Japan, camellias are seen as a symbol of robustness and longevity thanks to their leaves that remain green, even during winter!
