Tommaso Spanu (also known as Tom Spanu) is an Italian craftsman who designed his pipes in Sardinia. He created unusual pipes from raw material such as briar, olive wood, lemon wood or even cork!

Each of his creations are absolutely unique. Nothing is designed before he starts working the wood, and Tommaso Spanu prefers to let his imagination speak and works the wood little by little depending on the shape and the colors of the material. Nowadays, he is considered as one of the best craftsmen in the World thanks to the quality of his pipes and the design of the latter.

When briar and cork become one...

The Tom Spanu pipe you have here is made of briar covered with cork. The latter is a great thermal insulator. The cork allows a very original result and guarantees a pleasant pipe to hold in hand. Of course, all this work is entirely handmade!

The whistle stem of this Pot Shaped pipe is very original. We can indeed see beautiful brown veins that run all along the white stem. The result is amazing!
