Entirely handmade in Denmark, this Winslow pipe is a pure wonder. The briar of this unique piece is simply superb! You can admire a straight grain pattern and even birdseyes under the bowl. The pipe master Poul Winslow is a perfectionist. He works his creations depending on the design of the briar, and always manages to sublimate the beauty of the object...
The shape of this Winslow is original since it is halfway between a poker pipe and a cherrywood pipe. Its bowl is slightly inclined towards the front, and its main characteristic is that it is shaped with a flat bottom. You can easily put the pipe down, without spilling the ashes. Practical, it stands up on its own!
Poul Winslow pipes are often rich in ornaments (silver, colored acrylic or brass for example). Here, as you can see, bamboo has been used to make this model unusual. The bamboo part has two knots. It is located at the end of the briar shank, and makes the junction with the acrylic stem.
On this pipe, the chamber dedicated to receive your tobacco is pre-carbonized. Narrow and deep at the same time, this combination ensures an excellent combustion of the tobacco when you smoke.
This collector's pipe is presented in its black leather case on which you can find Poul Winslow's logo.
