Why is it so special? Quite simply because Butz-Choquin pipes combine briar and meerschaum! The bowl of these pipes is lined with a meerschaum insert. This is a very interesting choice for two reasons: the meerschaum protects the wood from the heat and filters the impurities in the tobacco even better. These pipes are also designed to accommodate a 9-mm filter. Thanks to the filter and the natural porosity of the meerschaum, you're guaranteed to get a smooth, pleasant smoke!
